February 14, 2016 in Syktyvkar, Komi Republic has passed Open Championship in style karate by the rules JKS. Our school was represented by national teams including:
Dmitry Kuznetsov (2nd Dan), Roman Martynov (1st dan), Vladimir Bessonov (1 kyu), Yaroslav Grinyakin (1 kyu), Stanislav Verkhovsky (2 kyu), Alexander Kornev (5 kyu), Artem Donskoy (5 kyu) and Artem Verbitsky (6 kyu). Our children have taken part in both sections of the Championship.
In the KATA in their age categories: Dmitry Kuznetsov - 1st place; Roman Martynov - 2nd place; Artem Verbitsky - 2nd place; Yaroslav Grinyakin - 3rd place.
In KUMITE: Yaroslav Grinyakin - 2nd place; Alexander Kornev - 2nd place and Artem Donskoy - 3rd place.
After the tournament the guys visited the town ice, which was next to the hotel.
School of Karate "SATO" expresses its gratitude to the organizers of the tournament and the hotel of "Avalon".
